About Acupuncture

Acupuncture is part of Traditional Chinese Medicine that has been developed in China over 5,000 years. Acupuncture treatment involves the insertion of very fine, sterile needles into specific sites along the body’s energy channels to clear energy blockages and encourage the normal flow of energy throughout the body.

To maintain good health, it is essential for the body’s energy to circulate in a continuous and unobstructed manner. Acupuncture is a form of natural healing and provides a drug-free treatment to many illnesses.

Acupuncture can also be used for prevention of illnesses by restoring balance within the body before developing into disease. Only single-use, sterile disposable needles are used for acupuncture in our practice.
